Tina Keane

Tina was a New York–based guitarist, songwriter, and singer whose life was rooted in music.

She began her career at RCA Records and later worked in children’s television as a project manager and producer with The Jim Henson Company and Sirius Thinking, Ltd. Her contributions were part of Emmy-winning programs including Sesame Street and Between the Lions, as well as the Grammy-winning album Marlo Thomas & Friends. But music was always at the center of who she was.

Tina was a gifted electric guitarist and songwriter who performed throughout New York City as lead guitarist for bands including Yellowfin, Siren Song, and Oh Mr. Grant. Her performances drew devoted audiences, strong reviews, and appearances on VH1, with sold-out shows at venues across the city.

As a founding member of Yellowfin, alongside singer Stacy Lee Raddatz, Tina helped shape a distinctive, melodic, guitar-driven sound that resonated with both fans and critics. Even after the band disbanded, her creative drive never faded.

Later in her life, Tina focused on songwriting and developing her voice as a solo artist. Her recordings reflect the full range of her talent, performing guitar, bass, drums, and vocals on her original work.

She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and uplifting spirit. To those who loved her most, she will always be remembered simply as a rock star.
