Eleanor Wolper
Eleanor was a New York artist whose creativity remained a constant throughout a turbulent and often difficult life. Raised in the East Village during a gritty and transformative era in New York City, she expressed herself through multiple artistic mediums from an early age and was recognized for her natural talent and originality.
Although her path was rarely stable, art remained one of the few enduring forces in her life. Eleanor attended Fashion Industries High School and later developed another passion through cooking, eventually becoming a talented chef who worked in professional kitchens throughout New York. Despite many personal and professional setbacks, she continued creating art over the years, leaving behind a body of work that reflected both vulnerability and resilience.
According to her family, Eleanor’s creativity was inseparable from who she was. Through her artwork, they hope others can experience the spirit, complexity, and imagination that defined her life.
Eleanor passed away on March 14, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of artwork and creative expression that her family is now honored to share through The Artist Lives.
