Aaron Shea
Born and raised in Queens, New York, Aaron Shea was a self-taught musician and prolific songwriter whose music reflected a wide range of influences, from pop and folk to country and beyond. He played acoustic guitar and piano for his band, Electric Slide Show, crafting original songs that showcased his thoughtful lyrics and eclectic musical style.
Aaron's creative legacy lives on through a collection of homemade recordings, CDs, videos, notebooks, and sketchpads filled with songs and ideas. Constantly writing and composing, he used music to explore life's joys, struggles, and moments of hope.
While living on the West Coast, Aaron embraced sobriety and became an active participant in the North County, San Diego music community, performing at local open mic nights and sharing his original work with others. His song, Evolution, was featured on a fundraising CD for First Step House of North County, a free men's detox program, with the hope that it would encourage and inspire those facing their own battles with addiction.
Aaron passed away in 2020 at the age of 40. Through his songs and recordings, his voice continues to resonate, reflecting the honesty, resilience, and creativity that defined his life.
