Angelique Benrahou
Angelique "Angie" was a gifted emerging artist from Mt. Airy, Pennsylvania, whose passion for art shaped every stage of her education. After graduating from Friends' Central School, she attended the University of the Arts before earning her degree from Chestnut Hill College. Determined to continue refining her craft, Angie went on to study at Studio Incamminati, a nationally recognized school dedicated to contemporary realist art founded by renowned portrait artist Nelson Shanks.
Portraiture was Angie's greatest passion. Through her paintings, she sought to capture not only a person's likeness but also the essence of their spirit. Her talent, dedication, and commitment to continual growth as an artist suggested a promising future that was only beginning to unfold.
In addition to her artwork, Angie collaborated with her mother, Denise, on the children's book How Much Do I Love You?, which she illustrated. Published posthumously, the book was created to remind children how deeply they are loved and remains a lasting reflection of Angie's compassionate heart and artistic gifts.
Sadly, Angie passed away just as her artwork was beginning to gain recognition. Though her life was far too short, the portraits she created and the book she helped bring to life continue to celebrate her remarkable talent and enduring legacy.
