About the Artist
John S. "Johne" was a self-taught artist from Washington, D.C., whose highly realistic drawings showcased an extraordinary eye for detail. Working with colored pencils, ink, pastel pencils, and watercolor pencils, he layered each medium to create rich color, depth, and texture, often drawing on foam core to achieve his distinctive style.
Johne created art purely for the joy of it, never seeking to exhibit or sell his work. He passed away in 2002, leaving behind a remarkable collection that reflects both his technical skill and creative spirit.
