Roberto Viroli

Roberto Viroli was a notable Italian artist, born in Cesena on January 27, 1942. His artistic journey began in 1966 when he held his first solo exhibition in his hometown, presented by the artist Federico Moroni.

Over the following years, Viroli became renowned for his unique style, which showcased a rich evolution in his work. In 1975, Viroli joined a group of artists to organize collective exhibitions, pursuing alternative paths to traditional galleries and art markets. He participated in various renowned events, including the Biennale di Arte in Rimini and Quadriennale Europea in Rome, among others. Between 1985 and 2010, he was one of the leading exponents of the Artist’s Avenue (Vialetto degli Artisti in Milano Marittima, Ravenna.

Despite his passing in 2015, Roberto Viroli left a great body of work and his daughter has taken on the mission to expand his recognition, both in Italy and abroad. In 2023, one of his works, “The Parliament”, was virtually exhibited in New York, as part of the Artbox Projects New York 2.0 Competition. Viroli’s paintings can be found in private and public collections in Italy, France, U.S.A., and Argentina.
