Tara Krehbiel
Born on May 2, 1989, in Nashua, New Hampshire, Tara Krehbiel was a passionate painter whose love of art shaped both her education and her life. After graduating from Nashua High School South, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Plymouth State University in 2011, deepening her understanding of the artists, movements, and techniques that inspired her own creative work.
Tara's primary artistic focus was oil painting, particularly the expressive alla prima technique, which allowed her to capture a subject with immediacy and energy. Her talent and dedication earned her membership in the National Art Honor Society, and she received a Preservation Achievement Award from the New Hampshire Preservation Alliance for her contribution to a large community mural project in Berlin, New Hampshire.
An enthusiastic student of art as well as an artist, Tara found continual inspiration in museums and historic collections. She was a member of both the Currier Museum of Art in Manchester and Boston's Museum of Fine Arts, and frequently visited the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and the Institute of Contemporary Art. These experiences broadened her appreciation of artistic expression and helped shape her own creative voice.
Through her paintings, Tara shared not only technical skill but also a deep appreciation for beauty, history, and the power of visual storytelling. Her artwork remains a lasting reflection of the passion and curiosity that defined her life.
