Alan Borror
Alan Borror enjoyed a distinguished career as an organic chemist at Polaroid, where he held more than fifty patents related to photographic processes. While living in Cambridge, Massachusetts, he met renowned landscape photographer Ansel Adams, an encounter that sparked a lifelong passion for photography and profoundly influenced his artistic vision.
After retiring from Polaroid, Alan devoted himself fully to photography, combining his scientific understanding of light and photographic processes with a keen artistic eye. His work earned recognition at the Maine Photography Show for nine consecutive years, reflecting both his technical mastery and creative talent.
Alan's photographs reveal an artist who approached photography with patience, precision, and an appreciation for the beauty of the natural world. His remarkable body of work stands as a testament to a man who successfully united science and art, leaving behind images that continue to inspire.
