Unlike traditional memorial sites focusing solely on grief

The Artist Lives Gallery celebrates the creative legacies of artists who have passed away

We honor each artist with a personalized page featuring their art, music, or writing. Our mission is to keep their work alive and visible, preventing it from fading into obscurity. We realize that art is personal and subjective; therefore, we do not judge or curate any of the submissions. We celebrate the creativity of all artists, regardless of their age or where they came from.

I want my voice heard. In the end that's all people want. -Ethan Magder (1989 - 2017)

How The Artist Lives Started

Following the loss of her son Ethan, Andrea Magder discovered his unpublished song lyrics, essays, and the beginning of a novel. In conversations with others, she realized that many people inherit paintings, music, and literary works after a loved one passes. The thought that their work would one day be forgotten was difficult to process and became the inspiration behind The Artist Lives Gallery.
